Our trainers are committed to assisting you reach your true potential. Whether you are training one on one or in a small group,
personal training offers variety, education and safety.
Any one our following trainers will be able to provide Motivation & Support, while emulating a full and proper understanding of
the Concepts of Adaptation & Progressive Overload. Each trainer will create a personalized fitness program designed to obtain

All trainer costs are above and beyond all memberships and drop-in fees. However, you will have access to the Riverside Club facilities
for the duration of your session with one of our personal trainers.
Kristian Leach
Kristian is a certified personal trainer and Medical Exercise Specialist. He is patient, professional, and is dedicated to
realizing the respective goals of each one of his clients. His vast base of theoretical and practical knowledge allows him to
create uniquely individualized programs, which enhance clients’, physical, mental, and lifestyle states. Kristian’s specialties
include weight management, body-shaping, athletic performance, and injury rehabilitation.
Kristian’s philosophy is “if the mind believes it, the body will achieve it”.

Janice MacAulay
B.Sc. in Kinesiology, Certified Exercise Physiologist, Medical Exercise Specialist
Janice has a large base of theoretical knowledge combined with many years of practical experience. Her specialties include athletic
performance training, working with older adults, injury prevention and rehabilitation, and the management of chronic conditions.
She has experience in management of hypertension, diabetes, obesity, depression, stress, chronic neck and back pain, and cardiac rehab.
Janice will provide clients with constant motivation and encouragement through individualized programs. She teaches her clients
how to develop all aspects of a healthy lifestyle, by balancing their mind, body and soul. Her understanding in this field will
insure that individuals of all fitness levels obtain their fitness goals.
Janice is currently involved in fitness competitions, snowboarding, rock climbing, triathlon and marathon racing. These experiences
have resulted in numerous benefits in all aspects of her life. Which is why she feels it is important to promote healthy,
active living at all levels of fitness, “Find Your Balance”.

Lindsay Byers
Lindsay is a certified personal trainer, fitness instructor, nutrition and wellness specialist, and sport conditioning coach. She has a Bachelor of Commerce
degree from the University of Saskatchewan. For many years now she has been dedicated to helping each client meet and exceed their personal health and
fitness goals. Her passion for your success is contagious, motivational and inspiring.
Lindsay’s background in marathon and triathlon supports her belief in cardiovascular conditioning and improved performance through controlled progression of
exercise; as well as developing the necessary underlying strength to avoid injury. Her training style involves functional and integrated movements; working
our bodies the way that we use them.

Doreen Holden
Doreen (“Dee Dee” as she prefers to be called), is a Certified Personal Trainer and Zumba Instructor. She completed her
education through the University of Oklahoma specializing in Nutrition/Dietetics. She strives to provide quality training through
her knowledge of nutrition and fitness. Initially a member of the Riverside Club, her passion for fitness inspired her to become a
trainer herself.
Doreen’s enthusiasm for strength training, running, cycling and cardio dance is closely matched with her continual drive to learn and
teach new exercises and programs. She brings an energetic and creative teaching style to all of her sessions and classes by
incorporating unique and individualized programs through various training methods. Doreen looks forward to educating; motivating
and supporting her client’s fitness goals by creating dynamic and effective workouts while having fun at the same time.

Shannon Mantrop
BKIN, MKIN, CSEP – CEP, CPGA Teaching Professional
TPI 1 Fitness Instructor, TPI 2 Biomechanics
Shannon received her Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario. She went on to earn a Master’s Degree in
Kinesiology from the University of Calgary, with a specialization in golf specific conditioning. Shannon is also a Certified Exercise
Physiologist, a Titleist Performance Institute Golf Fitness instructor and a CPGA teaching professional.
Shannon specializes in golf specific training, athletic performance training, injury prevention training, and functional movement training.
Shannon encourages her clients to become “body aware” so they are able apply what is learned in the gym to everyday activities.

Laura Gurski

Laura is a certified personal trainer and certified skating coach. She has a strong background in Figure Skating and ladies Fastball, but
also enjoys several other recreational activities. Growing up in Kelowna B.C. Laura represented B.C. in several Figure Skating
competitions and Fastball tournaments. She is passionate about sports and enjoys other activities such as running, yoga,
snowboarding and slow pitch. Laura has always lead an active lifestyle and believes that it is the key to having a balanced lifestyle.
Hard work mixed with fun and variety is what Laura believes make up a great workout. She currently teaches a variety of classes from
kids to seniors and enjoys working with all levels of fitness. With a personalized fitness program Laura will work with you to achieve
your goals and help you set new ones as your fitness level progresses.
